Comparative literature, Medieval and Early Modern literature, literature and media, literature and medicine, short literary forms, public urban literature

 

Assistant Professor of Western Languages and Literatures and former Chair of the Critical and Cultural Studies MA program (2018-2023). His most recent publications have an interdisciplinary and comparative focus on short genres, space, material, and urban studies through a BAP research grant: "Literature is Everywhere: A Comparative Field Guide to Urban Literary Landscapes in Three Cities: Istanbul, Chicago, Berlin," 2023-2026. His previous research explored the relationships among literature, medicine, and visual representations in the Early Modern Period.
