Metafor Talks I: Nouri Gana – “Orientalism and Self-Critique”

The Metafor Talks lecture series, organized by "Metafor: Journal of Literary Studies1"—published in collaboration between Boğaziçi University’s Department of Western Languages and Literatures and the Department of Turkish Language and Literature—is kicking off.

The first speaker in the series is Nouri Gana from the Department of Comparative Literature at UCLA. Gana will deliver a talk titled “Orientalism and Self-Critique.”

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Demir Demirgil Hall on the South Campus.
