Gazi Mehmet Emin Adanalı

He was born in Ankara and graduated from Çankaya Elementary School in 1975, followed by Galatasaray High School in 1983. Currently, he is an adjunct instructor at Boğaziçi University, Film and Media Studies Institute and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Western Languages and Literatures Department.

He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the same university (1989) and received an M.B.A. degree in Finance and International Relations at San Francisco State University, CA, U.S.A. Subsequently, during the next couple of decades, he earned a living in San Francisco, working as a management and financial systems consultant and project manager in the field of Information and Internet Technologies. He offered the same services in Turkey for more than a couple of decades under his own firm, DENOR Ltd.

Since 2010, he has been teaching five courses at Boğaziçi University: four comics courses--with all the content and pedagogical structure organized by himself--in comics history, theory, advanced readings and adaptations, as well as another course in ecological cinema. Each of these courses has three credits and are available to all students up to doctorate studies and foreign exchange students. Boğaziçi University is the first and only university in Turkey to offer collegiate level comics courses, recognizing comics as a legitimate and complex literature and visual narrative form based on art, as well as an ecological course in film, understanding and accepting the ecological crisis as a verity of existence on our planet.

He also designed and taught a course called "Conversations in English" (CiE^©) where people gathered to discuss "everything" freely in English for spoken language practice; also, other comics courses for adults at "BÜMED" and "Bilgi-Education" and still offers several comics workshop courses in a variety of ventures.

He continues to offer that course called "Conversations in English" (CiE^©) as a private lesson for more than a couple of decades since an ability of properly speaking English has become a necessity in the globalized world structures and businesses.

He was a member of "The School of Life" 's Istanbul branch, founded by Alain de Botton, where he served as core faculty and provided several lectures on many topics, encompassing matters of psychology.

He continues his trade in psychological therapy and physical fitness, wellness and healthy living fields.
